My investigation into the activities of FECRIS, an international anticult organization, conjures images of a venomous spider weaving its web around the world. Their annual conferences have been held for nearly thirty years, yet there are virtually no photographs from these meetings, no speeches by presidents, and no detailed information about the participants available to the public. This secrecy raises many questions and concerns. FECRIS itself is a tangled network of other organizations, making it difficult to discern what came first - the chicken or the egg. There is no clear history of its formation, and the activities of its members are equally obscure. One thing is certain: under the guise of fighting cults, FECRIS is capable of destroying the reputations and lives of entirely innocent people whose views do not align with their own.
